DCA, DPS Partner to Publish Educational Guide
With the assistance of a grant from the Diamond Promotion Service (DPS), the Diamond Council of America (DCA) will publish a collection of educational material called the "Leader's Guide" as part of its diamond education course.
According to a recent statement from DCA, the publication will provide an explicit "road map" to allow for a better understanding of DCA's diamond course, which comprises 22 chapters, four exams and a comprehensive final exam. Led by the editorial guidance of Diane Warga-Arias of DPS and written by Janice Mack Talcott and Kate Peterson of Performance Concepts, the Leader's Guide reviews every chapter of DCA's diamond course in detail.
"The issue in education and training is retention, completion and utilization of the material at the counter to create business," said Terry Chandler, president and CEO of DCA. "Our new Leader's Guide will enhance all three [concepts] and provide our members and their associates maximum benefit from their study."
The guide, which will be available to DCA members by early spring, also includes a "Train the Trainer" outline offering effective teaching techniques.
